FOUNDER

Our philosophy is simple, education for our team and our clients. We always want to work towards becoming a better barber, recommend products, teach them how to style and tell them what’s trending. We don’t want to be a place where people go to get their haircut, we want to be a place where people go to get better haircuts. We are also working towards planning on educating our fellow barbers and newbies and sharing the years of knowledge we as a team have gained and continue to gain.

Matthew (Manager)

Matthew is driven by passion, not only for hair but in creating an experience. Being privileged of having the trust to execute ones desired look is reflected in the service he provides. An advocate for continual education and personal development - looking towards UK, Europe, and the USA for inspiration to merge with his own take on the craft. He applies consistently his personal ethos of treating his clients like he was in the chair himself.

Vittorio

Vittorio grew up in a hairdressing family. He began his career study hairdressing in Sydney whilst apprenticing in his uncle’s salon. Vittorio has now been working in the industry for 12 years. In this time he has also taken on additional experience in an Aveda concept salon, and workshopping with some of the worlds greats. Now in New Zealand Vittorio specialises in mens scissor cuts and polished tapers. With a keen eye for modern styles. He hopes to eventually move into educating others in the industry.

Jose

I started my barbering career in 2019, graduating with a certificate in Barbering at Cut Above Academy.

I’ve been in this industry for three years and I have worked all over Auckland which has helped me learn different styles and techniques, working in both barbershops and hair salons, bringing a diverse set of skills in short and long hair.

I love making everyone look good and i will provide a haircut that will give them the confidence that they never had and I will make sure that anyone who sits in my chair will look nice and sharp walking out our door.

Bruno

Hi, ’m Bruno Brongar and I’ve been a barber for 14 years.

I’m the 4th generation of barbers in my family, my father was my teacher when I first started it, as his father and his grandfather did the same. I’m proud to carry on this profession through generations. I like be able to create different styles for my customers from classic to modern haircuts. I’m also photographer and I love being creative mixing my two passions together.
